meeting our brothers and sisters and eating fish with heads

We sang to our Father today in another language. We heard brothers and sisters talk to Him in Turkish. We heard their stories of how God pursued them. We rode the mini-bus for the first time. We danced in the Katikoy square. We ate gelato. We (Joe and Scott) got haircuts and had our ears cleaned with fire and had a great time laughing and talking to the Turkish men - learned that love is universal. We were encouraged. We asked for urgency. We saw love. We wondered how our brothers and sisters stories in Altin Temppe were pursued by our Father (that led them to that fellowship this morning). We talked to two women who are studying English at Marmar University. We asked Him to watch over our Park family as you all opened your doors to the new building in Cambrini Green! We missed you. We got tired. We talked to our Father in whispers. We practiced our Turkish. We met people on the bus and we asked for BIG things to happen. Oh, and we ate fish with heads tonight.

Today, we visited our brothers and sisters in Altin Temppe (that's where the pics were taken; first: team with Donna behind the camera; bottom: Dave, Rosie and Maggie walking by Altin Temppe) for fellowship on Sunday morning. It made us all realize how truly big our Father is - he knows no language barrier, no people are beyond his reach...he created them!
I think we ended the night excited for tomorrow and thankful for today. We begin teaching tomorrow. Two groups in Altin Temppe (betsy, joe, ashley, raquel, rosie, scott, danny) and one group in beshi tas (i don't know if I spelled that right...maggie, donna, dave) in the morning. And one group back in the evening to teach adults (danny, rosie, ashley and scott). Please be thinking about us!

Did Joe forget to bring his razor? Just kidding. The group looks great, guys. I'm enjoying the pictures and stories for sure. Be safe, and know you've been included in my prayers. See you soon.
